Then he decided he wanted his own chick.
However, we were living in the dorms, which means no animals.
We told ourselves, pssh a baby chick won't be too loud, we'll totally be able to hide her.
So, off we went to purchase a chick in Nowhere's Ville, Georgia.
We had called ahead to a Feed & Seed place, and been told that they sell baby chickens.
However, we'd been lied to.
So we pull up to the feed and seed and after looking around for a quick second, I inform everyone that "this place looks real legit",
however before we can leave, the owner of the feed and seed comes out.
At this point, I'm pretty sure we're never going to make it back to M*Ville.
However, Jason hops right out of the car and proceeds to inform this man that:
"we would like to buy a some chickens. do you sell those here?"
Well, as I said, we were misinformed when we were told that the Feed and Seed sold chickens.
BUT, Ace Hardware down the street was selling chickens.
We ended up purchasing two baby chickens (Diva and DW -- for do work).
They lived in the dorms with us a whole week before they got to be really annoying.
Luckily, one of our friends lived on a farm, and as far as we know Diva and DW are still doing well.
What kind of silly trouble have you created with your friends?
This has got to be one of my favorite stories! I would never think to try to smuggle a chick into a dorm...which is why you are more awesome than I. Oh please keep the wild stories coming. XO.
ReplyDeleteP.S.: Wish I could tell you silly trouble stories but I'm pretty tame. Actually, I could probably come up with a whole bundle from Austria. Let me think. Maybe I'll make a blog post now that you've inspired me!
Ha ha!! Those baby chicks are pretty cute :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, how cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great story, LOL!
Baby chicks are extrememly messy, though. We have 6 chickens and when they were babies they would poop everywhere pretty much every 10 minutes . . . and thew grow so quick!
Craziest story from me would probably be . . . went bowling with girlfriends one Sunday night then we ended up going to the park near the ferry near a friends house and chatted in the playground for a while. They we kinda played car tag. 2 people in each car and we'd take turns just driving wherever and the others would have to follow. Then after a while we'd pull over and swap the lead! hahaha
xoxox
ahahaha i love it! so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha I can't believe you adopted baby chicks!
ReplyDeleteI might be tempted to do the same, with a dog. Our housing doesn't allow dogs but I get tempted everytime I see a dog to just put one in and not tell anyone...
I can't believe you got chicks. They are so stinky! Lol this story cracks me up. I love it! I'm glad that they found a forever home on a farm. It's a much better place :)
ReplyDeleteAbout two months ago a friend and I were going out for ice cream and we hit a dip in the road going about 40 mph. She swerved, slammed on the breaks and yelled profanities. We were okay but her bumper? Not so much. Oops!
Oh my goodness! How funny!! I can't believe you snuck chicks into your dorm! Great story :)
